'The World is a Fair'

The world is a fair

Spokane County Interstate Fair returns September 6 through 15

The countdown is on as the Spokane County Interstate Fair returns to Spokane September 6 through 15, 2024. Showcasing art, crafts, food, technology, animals, and much more, from the local community!

As fall makes its official appearance, for 10 days, the fair returns to the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center — days filled with fun, animals, rides, exhibits and endless entertainment. And it’s been said that this year's Interstate Fair is shaping up to be the most exciting yet!

No fair is complete without the carnival rides, and Spokane County Fair & Expo partners with Butler Amusements to bring guests an exceptional array of rides for all ages. Kiddie Land opens daily at noon, while the Main Carnival opens at 3pm Monday through Friday and noon Saturday and Sunday.

One of the most popular attractions each year are the animals. Animals to visit at this year's fair include cattle, horses, llamas, goats, sheep, pigs, turkeys, rabbits, herding dogs, exotic animals and more!

Then there’s the excitement of the Grandstand events! This year's events include the PRCA Rodeo on Friday, September 6, and Saturday, September 7; the Truck & Tractor Pull Friday, September 13; and the Demo Derby Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15. The 2024 concert lineup features Clay Walker + Eddie Montgomery on Tuesday, September 10; Ian Munsich on Wednesday, September 11; and Flo Rida on Thursday, September 12. All grandstand events can be purchased online on the fair website.

For 2024, Spokane County Interstate Fair looks forward to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1974 World’s Fair (Expo) with the creation of the World Market, which will feature goods by artisans from around the world, globally represented entertainment, fresh fruit, and ethnically diverse foods.

Admission for entrance to their fair is $13 Monday through Thursday or $15 Friday through Sunday for adults ages 14 through 64; $10 for youth (ages 7 through 13), seniors (ages 65+) and military (with proper ID). And for the first time ever, a 10-day photo pass, which features a photo ID that allows fairgoers entrance to the fair throughout the duration of the fair, will be available to the public for just $50.

2024 fair hours are as follows: 11am to 10pm Monday through Thursday; 11am to 10:30pm Friday; 10am to 10:30pm Saturday; and 10am to 8pm Sunday.
