Whether you’re looking to stop in for a quick lunch, do a little shopping, pick up some wine for dinner or grab a warm beverage from the café—or all of the above—The Culinary Stone, located in beautiful Riverstone Village in Coeur d’Alene, is the store you’re looking for, offering a variety of culinary products and services all under one roof!

From tabletop to stovetop, if your list includes kitchen items, specialty cookware and dinnerware, rows of kitchen gadgets and gifts galore await. Just a sampling of the brands they carry include Finex, Smeg, Wüsthof and GreenPan, and specialty items like silicone bakeware and Stonewall gourmet foods—and so much more! The team is happy to put together any size gift basket for any occasion for that culinarian in your life.

The wine selection is reason enough to stop in, as wines are hand selected from most every wine region in the world, in addition to specializing in local wines. Join them for their wine experiences such as wine tastings and wine pairing dinner tastings, or let them help you find that perfect pairing for your next meal.

You’ll be treated to the best sandwiches in town at The Deli, prepared and served by the courteous and friendly staff. Choose from an excellent selection of Boars Head meats and cheeses. This is also the place to go for a beautiful and delicious charcuterie platter to impress your guests—just be sure to order ahead.

Then there’s The Café, where specialty coffees and seasonal drinks are their specialty, along with a beautiful selection of pastries, all served up in a bright and cheery atmosphere.

A favorite among customers are the on-site cooking classes; a fun way to experience new flavors while taking a front-row seat to watch the chef in action. And the best part … you get to enjoy all the delicious foods prepared by the chef!

“Attending one of our weekly cooking classes is a must! Bring some friends for a fun night out,” shares Store Manager Susan Odell. “We have a wide variety of classes that teach you how to prepare cuisines from all around the world.”

Proprietor, Patrick Volkar, is proud of all The Culinary Stone has to offer and the place it holds in so many hearts. “I love when our customers have friends or family visiting, and they share with us that we are at the top of their list of places to bring their loved ones.”

Being a locally owned business allows The Culinary Stone team to cater directly to the local community, finding their needs and fulfilling them. “We offer our customers a comforting experience with a friendly staff that is eager to please and give personalized attention to each person who walks through our doors,” smiles James Culp, Merchandiser Extraordinaire. “It’s the daily human interaction that brings a ‘happy buzz’ every day inside our store.”

From the kitchen to the wine, the classes and deli, to the café … The Culinary Stone family invites you to come join the experience.
