Helping Folks and Families Set Roots in North Idaho Let Jackie Suarez of Century 21 RiverStone lead you home By Jillian Chandler

Jackie Suarez began her career in real estate back in 1988, working as a paralegal and legal assistant, searching titles and coordinating closings. “I was fascinated by title history, from the first grant to the current owner,” she remembers fondly. “I realized that these documents represented life-changing decisions for buyers and sellers.”

She went on to work for a title insurance company as a branch manager and title officer, which helped provide Jackie with the basis for her understanding of the mechanics of real estate transactions. In 1999, she and her husband Carlos moved to Sandpoint, and for Jackie, the next natural progression was to become an agent and then associate broker. She became licensed in Idaho the following year. “I love helping people with what may be the biggest investment in their lives,” Jackie smiles.

During her time in this industry, she has witnessed the real estate business change dramatically, due to the advances in technology and the ready availability of information. “From landlines, fax machines, floppy discs and bag phones, we’ve progressed to having everything we need, including ready documents and signed contracts, available to us in minutes,” she says.

Jackie shares that while more people are moving to Sandpoint full time, able to work remotely, and density has increased, she believes Sandpoint and the surrounding area still retain that small-town atmosphere she and Carlos found when they arrived nearly a quarter century ago.

Real estate is important to our world and national economy for housing, business and employment. “It is tangible, tradeable and finite,” Jackie notes. “It represents reward for hard work, home, stability, family and legacy. For some people, their home is the most valuable asset in their lives, one they continue to invest in over time and reap rewards. It’s a big deal and truly, for many, it’s the American dream.”

Clients continue to be impressed with Jackie’s experience, background, consistent communication, attention to detail and commitment to their best interest. “We’re focused on their goals, whether it’s a first home, growing family, downsizing, relocation, or maximizing their wealth in commercial investments,” she states. Her clients can expect top-notch marketing and representation of their properties, thorough research and preparation in pricing, expert negotiation strategy, 100 percent honesty—and that Jackie will be by their side through the entire process.

“It is a blessing to help my clients, their children and even their grandchildren with their real estate needs. I believe I’m one of the few people on Earth that gets to do what they love for a living, remembering and being grateful for what’s most important—God, family and relationships,” she reflects.

When not busy dedicating her time to her clients, you will find Jackie and Carlos enjoying their farm, their two dogs Rocket and Eddie, out on the lake in the summer, Schweitzer in the winter, spending time with family and friends, and out in nature. “There’s more nature here than we could explore in a lifetime,” she says, “but I’m willing to try to see it all!”
