The Spring Dash promises 5 miles for a great cause, and will kick off its 40th anniversary this year in downtown Coeur d'Alene’s McEuen Park! After two years holding a virtual run, the Spring Dash is back to being an in-person event for 2022.
Since 1982, the Spring Dash has been the kickoff to the running season near Coeur d’Alene. The run supports people in need within the community that fall under the ALICE acronym, which stands for “Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed,” or those who are working but are living paycheck to paycheck or in a financial crisis due to the high costs of living. The cause behind the Spring Dash was designed to bring people together to support those in need within the local community!
With events ranging from the family friendly Tot Trot to the main run (a second-seed qualifier for Bloomsday), the Spring Dash offers something for all ages. Packet pickup is today, Friday, April 22, from 10am to 6pm at Coeur d’Alene’s Fleet Feet store, with late registration held on race day from 8 to 9am.
